Fans get bite-sized adventures across all nine realms, from frosty Niflheim to fiery Muspellheim, packed with the humour and mythological detail that made the original trilogy a bestseller. A perfect companion for readers who've finished the main series and want more time with Magnus, Samirah, Alex, and the rest of the crew.. About the Book:. Told in nine linked short stories, this paperback sends Magnus Chase's friends on solo adventures through the Nine Worlds. Amir Fadlan navigates an awkward shopping trip in Midgard, Mallory Keen discovers that insulting a dragon in Niflheim isn't always a bad idea, and Alex Fierro battles fire giants in Muspellheim armed with wit and a disco sword. Meanwhile, Thor jogs through every realm chasing his daily step count, leaving chaos behind. Each story stands alone but adds fresh texture to the world built across the Magnus Chase trilogy, deepening readers' understanding of side characters like Hearthstone, Blitzen, T.J., and Halfborn Gunderson. Riordan's blend of fast-paced plotting, funny dialogue, and researched Norse lore is on full display, making this an ideal pick for readers who love mythology served with comedy. Because the stories are shorter than a full novel, the book works brilliantly for reluctant readers, bedtime chapters, or dipping in and out. It rewards existing fans with callbacks and character growth while staying accessible enough for newcomers to enjoy the jokes and action. Best read after the main trilogy, it stands as a satisfying treat for anyone wanting more time in Riordan's nine Norse realms.. Nine complete short stories in one paperback, each following a different fan-favourite character.. Expands the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard universe with new adventures across all nine realms.. Riordan's signature humour and fast pacing suit reluctant and enthusiastic readers alike..
