Rather than sourcing individual workbooks, parents get a complete early years starter library in a single purchase, ideal for nursery-age children building foundational skills before school.. About the Books. Each title in this six-book set targets a specific area of early development, using the bright layouts and short activity bursts the Collins Easy Learning range is known for. ABC builds letter recognition and early phonics awareness through tracing and matching tasks. Reading and Rhyme uses playful verse and listening games to strengthen vocabulary ahead of independent reading. Numbers introduces counting and number recognition in small, achievable steps, while Shapes, Colours and Patterns develops sorting and pattern-spotting skills through colourful puzzles. Starting School and its companion Starting School Workbook focus on the transition into reception, covering routines, independence and confidence-building scenarios, plus extra practice pages that reinforce learning. Every book uses question-and-answer style pages so children get an immediate sense of achievement, with minimal adult input needed beyond encouragement. The content reflects Early Years Foundation Stage guidance, complementing rather than duplicating nursery or reception classroom learning. Sold together as a six-book paperback set, this collection suits parents building a first home-learning library, plus grandparents and gift-buyers wanting a ready-made preschool bundle.. Six focused paperback activity books covering literacy, numeracy and school-readiness. Reflects Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) learning guidance. Includes a dedicated Starting School book and matching workbook for the reception transition. Bright, simple layouts suited to short daily preschool practice sessions. Great value as a complete gift set for birthdays, Christmas or preschool milestones. Trusted Collins Easy Learning branding recognised by UK parents and teachers. About the Author. This set is produced by the Collins Easy Learning team, the in-house educational publishing group behind Collins' long-running range of home-learning activity books. This collaborative approach has made Collins Easy Learning one of the UK's most recognised names in preschool and primary home-learning resources.. Why You'll Love This Preschool Set.
